Do your 4WD vehicles comply with industry standards?
100%. Our vehicles are built to meet—and often exceed—Australian Design Rules (ADR), Australian safety standards, and Roll Over Protection (ROPS) requirements, along with strict mine site specifications for mine spec vehicles and heavy-duty applications.
We specialise in custom truck bodies, bus conversions, and heavy vehicle modifications, all designed and engineered to comply with Australia’s full regulatory framework. This includes NHVR requirements, VSB6 body mounting standards, and Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) mass and dimension limits. Every build is also aligned with OEM body builder guidelines to ensure safety, reliability, and warranty protection.
In simple terms, it means your vehicle is not only purpose-built for the job, but fully compliant, properly engineered, and ready for real-world Australian conditions.
That’s also why we’re proud to be Australia’s only Isuzu-approved modification and conversion partner for custom commercial vehicles and specialised transport solutions.

Can I customise the bus to my specific application
Yes. We offer a wide range of optional features and custom build options so your bus can be designed around your exact requirements—whether it’s for tourism, mining, remote transport, or special-purpose operations.
Whatever your needs are, we’ll do our best to incorporate them into the design and meet your specifications. As the project develops, our team will also suggest practical improvements and design enhancements based on over 20 years of experience, supported by our in-house engineering and design team.
Do you deliver?
ABLE offers Australia-wide vehicle delivery, making it easy to receive your custom trucks, buses, and specialised vehicles wherever you’re located.
Delivery is quoted separately based on your location, distance, and transport requirements.
However, many customers also choose to collect their vehicle directly from our factory in Bayswater, Western Australia, allowing them to view the build and take delivery in person.
How do I get spare parts?
ABLE has an on-site spare parts warehouse to help get most items shipped quickly when you need them. We understand that keeping your custom trucks, buses, and remote vehicles on the road is critical—especially in regional and outback Australia—so we aim to get your parts to you as quickly as possible.
In-stock parts can often be dispatched the same day, with air freight available if required for urgent deliveries. If we don’t have a specific part on hand, we can usually order it in or arrange for a custom solution if needed.
For assistance, please contact our spare parts team.
How do I get a quote?
To request a quote, please Send Us an Enquiry. Our sales team will then get in touch with you to discuss your specific application and requirements, whether it’s for custom trucks, buses, or specialised vehicle builds.
What are the purchasing options for your buses and custom vehicles?
Our custom buses, coaches, and 4WD specialised vehicles are built to order, so we use a progress payment structure rather than a single payment at completion.
This approach helps secure your place in the production schedule and ensures your build progresses smoothly from design through to delivery.
Typically, payments are staged across key milestones, including:
- An initial payment to confirm your order and secure your production slot
- Progress payments throughout the build process as key stages are completed
- Final payment prior to delivery and release of the vehicle
For customers using finance, we regularly work with third-party finance providers. In most cases, finance funds are released on completion, so progress payments are typically made by the customer during the build and then reimbursed once their finance provider processes the settlement.
As large-scale capital equipment and bespoke vehicle builds require significant design, engineering, and production scheduling, this structure ensures we can allocate resources to your project and maintain delivery timelines.
We’re always happy to discuss options with you and work with your finance provider where possible.

What chassis brands and models can ABLE build on?
ABLE works mainly with trusted brands for 4WD, medium-duty, and heavy-duty vehicles that are proven in rural and remote Australia, including Isuzu, Scania, MAN, and Mercedes-Benz. These platforms are well known for reliability in demanding conditions and remote operations.
We can also build on a wide range of other OEM chassis depending on your needs for custom truck bodies, bus conversions, and specialised commercial vehicles.
Our engineering team will work with you to recommend the best platform for your application—whether that’s off-road capability, long-range touring, mine spec requirements, or specialised service vehicles—so you get the right setup for the job from the start.
How long is the typical lead time for a new build or custom project?
Lead times can vary depending on the level of customisation and our current production schedule, but most custom vehicle builds take around 12 weeks to a few months. This includes things like custom truck bodies, bus conversions, and specialist commercial vehicles.
More complex builds—such as medical units, mine spec vehicles, or custom off-road coaches—may need extra time for engineering, design, and compliance approvals.
We’ll always give you a clear estimated timeline during the quoting stage and keep you updated throughout the build process so you know exactly where things are at.
Do you offer electric or low‑emission vehicle options?
Yes — ABLE is currently developing Australia’s first electric 4WD truck chassis, designed for mining, tourism, and remote fleet operations. This next-generation platform is built for real-world use in demanding conditions, including mine spec vehicles and off-road applications.
Customers will be able to purchase the EV chassis on its own, or as a complete build including custom bus or coach bodies.
The focus is on delivering strong performance with lower running costs and reduced emissions—helping operators move toward sustainable commercial vehicle solutions without compromising capability or reliability.
